Planet Exploration

Exploring a planet is the process of identifying all resource nodes present on its surface. Resource nodes will require the use of a scanner the first time they are encountered to be identified. To scan a resource node, aim toward it and hold [key.Scan], the key assigned to the Scan skill. It will then become available to mine with the proper equipment. Most planet have natural Landmarks, that can often been seen from space, and may contains unique resource node that cannot be found anywhere else on the planet. Both exploring a planet and identifying new resource nodes with the scanalyzer give Exploration Experience, that will eventually unlock a new Contractor Level. Each Exploration level allow the contractor to go farther into the quadrant and unlock new recipes and abilities that helps with exploration.
